I am a painter living in Rutland. Using mostly watercolours I paint landscapes using a loose and impressionistic, sometimes witty and whimsical style, in a simple naive almost childlike perspective.
The painting I will be submitting will be similar to the image shown and is an impression of Oakham with a view of the Buttercross, Oakham School Chapel accessed by the entrance to the School. Walk up the alleyway past All Saints to Church Road, and onto Church Street where the shops shown include one that has closed and one that has yet to open.
