1. Read and learn. You have the option to read as much as you can about selling. Today, there are hundreds or even thousands of offline (books, magazines, and other printed materials) and online resources (websites, ezines, blogs, ebooks, ecourses, etc.) that can offer you with information that you are looking for. The advantage on choosing this option is that you can learn at your own pace. The disadvantage however, is that it may take a while for you to really develop your selling skills.

2. Practice makes perfect. On top of doing your research, you can also put your learning into practice. List down all the selling tips that you obtain and see what really works.

3. Learn from the experts. Watch people who are considered gurus in the field of selling and watch them in action. Understand the elements and techniques that they are using when they generate leads, when they make their sales presentation, and when they close the sale. If possible, talk to these people to personally ask for selling tips and techniques. Since these people were once in your shoes, I am pretty sure that most of them will be happy to help you out especially if you show genuine interest in learning.

4. Take advantage of coaching programs and online classes. Today, there are several coaching programs and online classes designed to help people like you develop or enhance their selling skills. These are commonly offered by people who have already made a lasting mark in the field of selling. Take advantage of them and you’ll surely get every piece of information you need to get better in selling.
